About Yomobi
Initiative funded by UNICEF and UNDP and implemented by Afrika Tikkun to provide community relief and strengthen local markets.
Afrika Tikkun Services is a youth development organisation operating in your community. We’re teaming up with big retailers and small traders to give out grocery vouchers to hungry households.
Here’s how it works:
HOUSEHOLDS: Answer some questions about your household. Receive a R200 voucher sent to your phone to spend at Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Boxer or Usave.

MERCHANTS: Answer some questions about store. Receive R30 into your wallet to buy airtime or to spend at Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Boxer or Usave.

How to Spend your Voucher
- SMS
You will receive a voucher via SMS that will say
You have received a R200 eVoucher for food from UNDP & Afrika Tikkun. This R200 eVoucher can be used at any Boxer, PnP, Shoprite, Usave or Checkers. Do not spend more than R200.”. - Spend at a big retailer
Ask the shop if you can make a mobile payment using a voucher*. Use your eVoucher number that you received via sms to pay. If the amount is more than the voucher, then you can pay the difference using another payment method. If the amount is less than the voucher, then the difference will be saved for you to spend later.
*Pick n Pay – Ask if you can make a mobile payment with a Celbux Code, then select Smartbanking.
*Boxer – Ask if you can make a mobile payment with a Celbux Code.
*Shoprite, Checkers or Usave – Ask if you can make a mobile payment with a Celbux Code , then select wiCode.
Give the cashier your eVoucher number that you received via sms. It will be a be a number and will look similar to this 123-12345-12345
If the amount is more than the voucher, then you can pay the difference using another payment method. If the amount is less than the voucher, then the difference will be saved for you to spend later.
